Holiday 2009 - California plans

Much like last year, we're busily making plans to drive out to Santa Cruz County, California again this holiday, home to hubby's family. We're taking two extra days to drive out, though, stopping in Dallas to see my brother's family (and his new baby), as well as friends; then on to Tucson to meet fellow blogger, Chile Chews; next to San Diego to meet yet another fellow blogger Beany; and finally north to Aptos, CA to spend Christmas with Dave's mom, siblings, and their families.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to visiting with everyone, especially finally meeting the two fellow bloggers that, though we've only conversed over email and through our blogs, I regard as wonderful friends.

Of course, I'm also looking forward to re-visiting the Aptos farmers' market, some local eateries, the natural food store, and maybe catch a good documentary (most of them don't make it to my hometown - go figure). I'll be sure to report on my adventures as well as take lots of great photos, so grab some trail mix and fill your travel mug full of hot herbal tea, and join me as we take on the holidays SGF-style.

I'm so happy you're going to stopping on your way through here! Over the years, I've thoroughly enjoyed meeting, in person, folks I've gotten to know online. In almost all cases, the people turn out to be genuinely nice, interesting, and intelligent. Conversation and visits end up being too short.

You weren't planning to actually get any sleep while you were here, right? Although, after sampling some of my homemade liqueurs, you may drop off anyway. :)

I was nodding off after sampling Chile's liquers as well.

I can't wait to meet you, Dave and Kelsey either!

Oh, I'm jealous! I looked up where Aptos is in Cali and it's further south than my in-laws. I was going to see if I could worm my way into your schedule. I've had so much fun getting to know you via internet!

I hope your trip is great and uneventful, if you know what I mean. No major disasters or anything.

Chile - Me too! As long as we let Dave sleep, we're good. He's the main driver. Although I'm a cheap drunk so I may be passed out quickly :)

Ruthie - I sure will! I'll also take lots of photos to share. It's gonna be so much fun!

Beany - Me too!

Krista - Where will you be?

Near Placerville in North Cali.

Krista - another few hours away. Once I figure out what all we'll be doing with my in-laws, maybe we can figure something out. What's your holiday schedule like? Feel free to email me...

The Nike Shox NZ 2.0 SI is great shoe Tiger Shoes for heavy runners and walkers. If you are a big man, the Nike Shox NZ 2.0 SI will work a lot better than the Nike Max Airs. If you have never worn Nike Shox before, Franklin Marshall Store then you will need to know that the shoe is not as comfortable right out of the box. You must "break your Shox in". Once the Shox are broke in, D&G sunglasses they tend to be more comfortable and durable for heavier people. Lighter people may want to stick to the Nike Air Max shoes.
