Local farmers market hits the news
The Brazos Valley Farmers Market hit the local news today in a story about the growing popularity of locally supplied foods. Featured in the video are Lois (from whom I buy most of my veggies; she was also the only vegetable vendor ALL winter long) and Tanya (from whom I've been buying tomatoes since March). I can hardly wait to talk to these two new TV stars at Saturday's market!

Very cool!
I think farmer's markets need to be advertised more. I met someone who has lived here for years and didn't even know where the farmers markets are. It's almost shameful. Needless to say, I informed her. :)
I was really happy to see this hit the news. The market is swamped with customers these days, but more customers means more vendors. I'd love to see people make eating more locally a life-long habit. Hopefully this will bring more attention to a GREAT resource!
