The one place I lived that was as close to perfect as I've ever lived was Atlanta. We had four seasons, but none of them were extreme. It was a wonderful place to live.

simply authentic - it really is wonderful. I sure hope it lasts. I'm really enjoying my time on the front porch.hmdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13424022504830645523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8862121314003712764.post-42677880612213377932008-09-27T12:12:00.000-05:002008-09-27T12:12:00.000-05:00I hope you enjoy the fall! (I walk because I am recovering from an extensive back surgery and all I can do is walk, walk and walk)

I miss living up north and having the seasonal changes. Florida's seasonal change happens usually for 3 days in February. I miss the north! The Cooking Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16899099551443426511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8862121314003712764.post-53340910400889966052008-09-26T14:51:00.000-05:002008-09-26T14:51:00.000-05:00ttammylynn - eew. At least you'll have something in your closet for other special occasions now that you've lost all that weight. Sixty pounds is absolutely amazing! How did you do it?

sharli - no doubt! I biked to campus and back this morning (to find stray Cotton Patch coupons at the library from yesterday's university newspaper - he he) and by the time I got home, I was a little sweaty, but it felt great. The temp was PERFECT! I sure hope it lasts...

abbie - Yeah, we don't really break out our winter clothes until December and even then most people don't wear coats. Jan get chilly, but we always have a warm front at some point. I suppose that's why we have such an amazing growing season. You just have to make it through summer (which lasts about 5 months here) to get to the nice weather.hmdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13424022504830645523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8862121314003712764.post-87242749804101954422008-09-26T14:35:00.000-05:002008-09-26T14:35:00.000-05:00Wow!I'm sitting on the couch right now with thick ...Wow!

I'm sitting on the couch right now with thick socks, jeans, and a sweater! It's chillier today because of the rain, but usually fall in New England is wonderful, cool and sunny. I can see the trees starting to turn outside my window!

Enjoy your cool weather, and I'm sure I'll be jealous of you in the next blizzard we have!Farmer's Daughterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04993260095409544097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8862121314003712764.post-40620257649998828382008-09-26T08:50:00.000-05:002008-09-26T08:50:00.000-05:00This weather is amazing!! Just knowing that in years past we've been sweating it out at over 100 degrees at this time of the year makes it even better!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8862121314003712764.post-7610440646865088932008-09-26T03:52:00.000-05:002008-09-26T03:52:00.000-05:00Happy Friday...aka Milk Day! I don't have a/c in my delivery truck, so it really helps my state of being when the temperature falls below 80 degrees.
I am reknowned for wearing shorts year round...now I don't own a pair of jeans that fits anyway(I lost sixty pounds, I'd like to lose a bit more)...I'll purchase a pair later this year if the temperature goes below freezing. I tend not to worry about clothes except to the extent of wearing something. Since two of my siblings are engaged to be married, I may have to go dress shopping in the near future, but I won't worry about it until it is inevitable. I think I dislike shopping more than you do, Heather.
But, I do like food shopping... I am looking forward to Farmer's Market tomorrow. The main reason I like the fall is because the temperatures drop off enough that plants can tolerate living here. I love fall gardens and lots of veggies. I like the pansies that will adorn my flowerbed and the broccoli that will shoot up from the leafy plants, the peas that will flower and form, the last of the tomatoes and the fact that I won't have to water so darn much. Yes, and Thanksgiving and Christmas...I love the family holidays. People just seem a little nicer when the holidays come around...ttammylynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04951289120280057547noreply@blogger.com
